I know it has been sometime since I last updated this blog.
Well lot's has changed since the last entry..

We moved....again but this time into a house we are planning on buying later.
I am yet at another job, since my last entry...This one is pretty cool though.
I now pull a pneumatic bulk tanker, hauling lime,cement,fly ash, and slag. I deliver to concrete company's and energy plants and road construction jobs throughout Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan also into Pennsylvania....

LOL, as the title says yes I have survived my first week back as a OTR truck driver.
I had a short week, as I left on Monday and returned home just a few hours ago.
But all in all it was pretty uneventful. I loaded Monday and delivered Tuesday in Munster,IN. then reloaded Tuesday and delivered Wed. in Walton,KY.
I then reloaded Wed. and delivered in Chicago,IL Wed. and then I loaded in Libertyville,IL on Thursday and delivered this morning in Florence,KY.

I am loaded...

I have been thanked several times in my years of driving a truck. Let's see if I can remember a few of them.
I was involved in a huge accident on I-77 southbound back in 2004 just south of Wytheville,VA. I came upon the "New River Bridge" and the traffic was stopped because of a accident on the bridge. I got my truck stopped about 20 feet from the accident without hitting anyone or anything. The person driving the little car just in front of me "Thanked me" for not running...

Are you unemployed? Or have you worked in an office for years and want something different to do to earn a living? I know Doctors, Lawyers, Police Officers, CEO, etc. who have decided that after years of service that they were either tired of it, or just didn't think that their field was worth it anymore. They are now truck drivers, going all over the country sight seeing and getting paid for it.
Anyone can be become a truck driver, provided they are not felons and are not alcoholics or drug...

I know it has been a while since I posted so I better get on the ball.
But I have been busier than a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
I am in the search of a new job. I don't know if it will be another driving job or not.
I wished I could find a job as a Heavy Equipment Operator, but around here they want you to be certified, by your state.
I am waiting to hear back from a company in Alabama that is in the process of processing my application, and sending...
