Alissa and I have been very happy with our current house which we have lived in for about 4 years. It's time for us to move on up to a house with a paved driveway, a basement and a one or two car garage.
I have some photo's of the work along the way, I'll get them up asap, I need to post them on my family blog as well.

Here is a short rundown of the work we've done.

Our house has 3 bedrooms and 2 family rooms. One of the bedrooms needed a new ceiling, it had a drop down in place, but the ceiling above that needed replaced.. That wasn't a fun job at all, but we got it all replaced and the new drop down in place. We also added a new brighter light in that room.
We are currently working on the walls in our bedroom, our bed is in the living room..lol I should have the walls done in their by next weekend I hope.
The other bedroom is what we have our office setup in. It has my computer and Alissa's art stuff. we are going to be painting the walls in that room as well, as soon as I have the current bedroom painted and finished up.
The biggest project has been the front living room. The whole has had old dark paneling all over the place and we have slowly been replacing it or painting it white. Anyways, the front room had walls that where so bad that we had to tear them all the way down and put new Sheetrock up. We also had some ceiling work to do in the front room as well.
Lets see... what else.. Oh, I have started cleaning the yard up, tossed some new grass seed down and we have a few bushes and plants around the house that will need cleaned up and watered.
Last summer before we put the shed in, we had also done some work to the kitchen. We put new counter tops in, new sink and a dishwasher, Oh, and a light..lol

And finally, we also redid the bathroom. Finished off the walls, painted everything white and a shade of green.. It looks sharp, I also put new silver nickel fixtures everywhere in the bathroom.

We had set aside about 2 grand to work on the house, I think we are about to double that.. :giggle:

We've seen several houses in our area and similar size and details as our house so that's awesome!

As hard as you may try to avoid it, you might notice that your car occasionally picks up scratches. So how do you maintain your car's paint job? Here are a few things you can do to protect your car from scratches or at the very least minimize the impact scratches have on your vehicle's appearance.

Keep your car clean. Take your vehicle to the car wash regularly or wash it yourself. Bird droppings, bugs and dirt have a way of damaging your vehicle's exterior. Even chemicals found in rain water can damage a paint job. If you decide to wash the car yourself, choose a soap that is designed for vehicles. Other basic soaps can strip the wax. Also use cloths designed for washing vehicles. Find a shady place to wash your vehicle and make sure the surface is cool.

If you find a lot of scratches while washing your car, one thing you can use is detailing clay. Rub the clay on the car's surface to fill in scratches. You can also polish the car to remove scratches. This will also make your vehicle shine like new. Giving your car a good wax provides more protection for your paint job.

Keep your car parked in the garage or in a shaded area. Keeping your car parked in the shade protects your vehicle from sun damage. There are still other hazards that can cause damage to your vehicle's paint job such as salt, tar, dust, mud, gravel and sun. Your vehicle may begin to show signs of wear and tear. Your vehicle may also accumulate scratches from rock salt and this could cause rust and paint damage.

Touch up scratches. To maintain your car's paint job touch up the damaged areas as soon as they occur. You can handle small jobs yourself or take your vehicle to a body shop. For scratches and chips you'll touch up yourself, get paint that is factory-matched from a quality supplier. It is important that you use paint that matches your car's color. You can find the right color by matching the code, which you can find based on your vehicle's make, model and year. Be sure to purchase the right amount of paint to handle the job.

After you've gotten the paint to match up the touch up area, remove the wax with a prep solvent. Then sand the area. Apply the base paint and then allow the paint to dry and cure. Place your vehicle in a garage or somewhere else it can be protected by the elements such as rain and sun. About a day later, you can apply a clear coat over the touched up area.

If you keep a can of your vehicle's base color and a can of clear coat, you'll be able to quickly fix small scratches and chips as you notice them. If you don't have any base paint available, consider using nail polish until you can get the right paint. Just like the PR update this time last year, this one has some really strange and odd drops of PR.

You take a site like YouTube.com who's site is always getting natural links back. YouTube dropped from a PR8 to a 3 :banghead: This is very strange for me ?

This PR update was going to be focused on stamping out sites that sold links based on PR, but youtube ?? google even owns youtube.. :wtf:

I've seen many big names blogs that lost PR, one being on that I visit a few times a week. www.onemansblog.com went from a pr8 to a pr4 :O This guy has even talked to matt cutts about the links he's selling, they even have the nofollow attribute added to them.

I think google has made a huge mistake this time around, not so much on my domains, but large sites like forbes, youtube, onemansblog, should have pr, yet they have lost it.

Try it out.
Go take some pictures of the attractions in your city. Make a thread on your forum, and attach the images. Make sure you can see these images as a guest.

Then go to StumbleUpon and bookmark the thread you just made.

I've had stats go from 100 visits a day, to over 700 just from one "stumble" If you can a few of your friends to bookmark the page too, you'll get more visitors :)
