Part II: Preparing to create a site.

Well I decided I was going to take the plunge and start my own site. But I must say this was my second time saying it as the first didn’t get too far. The first time I was talking to a friend who did web design and trying to get his help, and while he was helpful, he wasn’t interested in committing to it or being actively involved. I was picking his brain for a while, but I did notice he was getting over it.

So I went back to the...

My vBulletin Journey -- Part I

Posted 11-14-2008 at 04:25 PM by 2dub
all,

I just thought I'd start a little blog here to tell of my journey setting up my site. I'm a noobie at this so I've made my mistakes and hopefully others can learn from my mistakes. So by no means am I saying I know everything nor am I saying things I've done or learned will work for you.

Part I:I think I'll start my own site
I've been an active participant in numerous boards in my niche for many years. There was one board which started off great, but...

Ever wanted to be a truck driver?

Posted 11-09-2008 at 04:16 AM by ARealRedneck (Life as a worn out truck driver)
Has any one of you ever wanted to be a truck driver before?
I found a website that allows you to become a truck driver, in a game.

It is almost, I would say about 75% as close to being real as it could get without actually doing it.
It kinda deals more with being an owner operator, who works for a trucking company, or who can go out on his/her own.

My wife laughs at me, because I am gone all week long and now when I get home I get on here and check the game...

First things first....

So, you've decided to start your forums from scratch by installing vBulletin have you? Well, you've made a great choice.

After researching some of the other 'free' options for running forums, I found that vBulletin blew all options out of the water! There were two main determining factors in my choosing to pay for the vBulletin software. The support from sites like www.vBulletinSetup.com and the community of fellow forum owners that share their modifications FOR FREE was head and...

Hello, yea I know it has been a while

Posted 10-14-2008 at 02:50 PM by ARealRedneck (Life as a worn out truck driver)
Sorry, but I have been very busy with work. Spring and summer and up through Thanksgiving are the busy season for my company.

I am home now on a mandatory non- paid week's vacation, and enjoying it by the minute.

I kinda gotta a little unruley with a dispatcher and refused to do what he said to me, and they said I could stay home for a week.

Anyway, all is well and I hope all are doing great!

Have a good one, take care!
