Need basic help: adding ads, adding mods

I am running vBulletin 3.6.4 and I need some simpler tasks done.

1: write a Shopping Ads eBay link into my template
2: teach me how to create and send Newsletters
3: add a couple of simple mods; i.e. side bars, and please be able to explain to me what you are doing

#1 - is this a custom mod or an addon? how close are these to what you are looking for?

#2 - do you just want to be able to email everyone or are you looking for an HTML newsletter?

#3 - is the sidebar left, right, both, forumhome only, and/or all pages? Is this something that would work for you ?
