Do you delete your trash threads? or just hide them

We have a trash forum that is hidden that we've been putting spam or bad threads in and I'm thinking about cleaning it out and updating the post count and it got me wondering.
Do you keep a hidden trash forum that is counted in the forum stats?

Nope, can't be bothered. I just hard-delete (almost) everything.

I usually move threads to the trash. I do this in case we've got to look at something, or if a moderator made a mistake we can fix it just by quickly moving it again to where it should be.

I do delete blatant spam though.

Re: Do you delete your trash threads? or just hide them

yeah sometimes if a thread is getting super heated i will lock it in place so i can get a admin type reply in and settle people down without post getting slipped in behind me, also if i am cleaning up a thread and pruning posts i lock them so i can do that. then unlock them

I've only had to close one thread for getting too heated, but left it up.

Re: Do you delete your trash threads? or just hide them

I move threads to a trash can forum. I have the mod set up where when you delete anything out of trash can it does not affect post counts and such. It works really well. Also I have on occasion after banning a spammer changed the password and used the name to pot a nice introduction lol. Hey if they wanna spam LMAO....They can participate.
