| Do you Mark all Forums Read on your forums I have to do this from time to time after being gone or busy for a few days and coming back to 150 new post.
I'll go down the list and answer the ones I can answer, and reply to any thread/reply directed at me and maybe welcome a few members, but then I'll click the "Mark all forums read" so I can tell the new post new visit |

| Re: Do you Mark all Forums Read on your forums I mark all forums read on some forums only though. For instance, our "Fun N' Games" forum will routinely have 60 to 75 posts in the matter of a few hours. So, I have my mods take a peek at the posts to ensure that everyone is being "Disney-like"
I will also do that in our 'already used news' forum where we dump duplicate or old feed threads. |

| Re: Do you Mark all Forums Read on your forums I generally read every thread and post on my forum... but I just moved and during that time, there were a ton of posts that were made and I still have a lot of reading to do.
Games posts don't show up for me, so I will usually go into the off-topic sections and mark them as read. I might have to mark all forums as read in a bit though.
I have 4 super moderators, so I'm not worried about rules being broken. It's never happened before, so I'm not too worried. |

| Re: Do you Mark all Forums Read on your forums I do it on all forums. Generally on my forums I open all the threads in new tabs and review most of them. Some of the longer threads that I don't follow I just hit view first unread post to clear it. Before shutting down for the night I always Mark All A Read so I have a fresh slate for the morning. |

Usually, i tend to view all the thread titles and ones that interest me i read.
I usually glance at all thread titles on my own forum and if there is any new replies, i will read those replies. A few loyal members that i have always report posts to me in which i can take care of a.s.a.p. It's just hard to read every single thread/post daily when ya have other things to do online and offline such as family and stack of bills.
Of course if the admin is not scene to much or even posting on his own forum, the members may just go nut's and break all rules. I like to show my face around the forum daily

| Re: Do you Mark all Forums Read on your forums I will also Mark All Read from time to time when I just don't have the time to sit and read through all of them. I don't ever feel bad or guilty over it.
I think that this is also when an Admin needs to rely on his/her staff to read through the threads too. This way everything is covered! |

| Re: Do you Mark all Forums Read on your forums yup staff coverage is important, so is letting members know that reporting posts that are inappropriate is ok and important. That cuts down on a lot of checking. I actually ignore sectiosn of my site like the fun and games and stuff cause i know they are for the most part...ok. |
