I've had some luck finding sites to exchange links with by checking up on MetaFilter Projects | Community Weblog every so often. It's a section of the popular community site Metafilter where members can announce completion of their latest projects (once a month... no spamming with every site you have), and often that means new web sites looking for exposure.

I think Admin Fusion is a great place to go to as well. They even have a software up there that allows you to use a balance system. I like that better than the traditional post exchange; with the software you post where you are interested in, rather than out of obligation.

AdminFusion's post fusion is great, i agree although i have never used it. Since AF seems to have fallen off, is anyone stil using post fusion? i havent seen any post over there about it (i havent seen many posts in general) and was wondering if it's still a popular thing....since the takeover it's just not the same..

I've been using it, but it does seem to be slower these days. I'll make a few posts, find myself at 100, come back the next day and I'm still at 100. And some of the forums on the list are things I know nothing about and can't post on, so I end up going to the same forums over and over.

It comes and goes. Once I didn't do it for like a week; then I posted at the sites I am signed up for and I was at the top for a few days. Then, sometimes, it's a struggle to keep me on the front page.
