What signature limits, if any, do you put on your members? Currently i have none, i like the members to be themselves and have freedom. some of the sigs though are getting too big and i think ima crack down on them a bit.

I see these in the usergroup manager as configurables, all the bb code yes no's ommitted...

Maximum Characters in Signature Including BB Code Markup
Maximum Lines in Signature
Maximum Number of Images in Signature
Signature Image Maximum Width (pixels)
Signature Image Maximum Height (pixels)
Signature Image Maximum Filesize (bytes)

anyone have some medium strict rules they impose on members?

I do enjoy seeing colorful and creative signatures on my forums, but sometimes they have a tendency to get out of hand. I wanted to limit people to one link in their sig so I installed Limit Links In Signature - vBulletin.org Forum but I don't think it really works... people are still adding two or more links. Have you set up a signature policy on your forum?

I was wondering the same thing HERE and didn't really get any responses eitehr, if you want to limit links i would just say limit the characters or put it in the rules, if a member breaks the rule PM them, if they dont listen edit the sig, if they change it again ban them.

yeah signatures and stuff are things people dont really think about but can really muck up the look of your forum. that is whay i asked, some of the sigs are starting to like overtake the posts in the forum

that is pretty good Andy, i wish there was a way to apply sig limits retroactivly on the site. same as avatars, if you go smaller there is no way to force shrink the ones that are alreasy big that i have found

I have the Image Resizer mod which limits the size of pics in the sig, but nothing as far as the number of links.
