How do you know when to quit?

When should you start thinking about accepting defeat when trying to revive a dead forum? When is it no longer worth it to keep and sell off the vB license and domain?

I wouldn't have thought there was a rule to this.

Do you have enough time to dedicate to the board to make it successful or worthwhile?
Are you paying more on hosting, mods, etc. and getting nothing in return?

If you don't post on your own forum, why should anyone else?

Flashlight forums? Seriously? *googles*

Well, I'll be. Time to expand my idea of what a successful forum niche might be.
