Thumbs up Joomla + vBulletin = JFusion

I've been following this for a few weeks and it looks very impressive

JFusion - JFusion.org - Joomla Universal User Integration

you can integrate joomla and vbulletin without having to be a coder.

To really give the feeling of complete integration between Joomla and your other softwares to your users, Dual login allows them to seamlessly login to all of your enabled softwares with one username, one password and one click.

Re: Joomla + vBulletin = JFusion

Yeah, before it was a pain and took time to integrate them, but with that it's pretty easy. And I still think Joomla is the best looking homepage or portal they have. It's really nice and worth a second look if you have never checked it out.

Re: Joomla + vBulletin = JFusion

it may look good, but on their demo page, they're iframing vBulletin which is very bad in terms of SEO.

I didn't look too much and maybe I missed some parts..

Re: Joomla + vBulletin = JFusion

Well, before you just hooked into it and used Joomla as the homepage. So, I guess that's just how they have it, but you can do it other ways. I agree their vbulletin demo is somewhat lacking.

Re: Joomla + vBulletin = JFusion

I've used the bbpixel one and liked it. That doesn't use a wrapper which is key. The whole iframe kills it.

Re: Joomla + vBulletin = JFusion

I'm gonna give this a test run on a defunct forum of mine. If it's an iframe setup, it's definitely a no go.

Re: Joomla + vBulletin = JFusion

Only smf and phpbb aren't in iframes.

I think joomla (the company) doesn't like to integrate into paid software. They make it tough for people to write scripts for paid software.

I just can not see integrating a piece of insecure bloatware with vbulletin. That is like mixing oil and water - it just dont work.
