Limit guest viewing? I saw a mod that would let you limit the number of threads a guest could view before blocking them from reading any more until they registered; has anyone tried this? Was it effective or did it just annoy potential members? Quote |

Re: Limit guest viewing? i have seen and debated this hack quite a bit. i just dont think its worth it to force people to register to see your content. your content and site should speak for itself and you shouldnt need something like this to get people to sign up. Quote |

Re: Limit guest viewing? Yup...I agree....avoid adding ANOTHER mod (I've already got like 100 of them it seems!) and cut down on the zero posters. I've got 96 out of 162 as 'active' members and I'd hate to drop that number. It's something that I keep an eye on at all times.  Quote |
