Multi-user household

I know you are thinking "Chase, what are you talking about multi-user households?"

Just that, do you have members who's significant other, sibling, roommate, even kids are on the site as well?

Since i run a regional forum, i get this a lot, cause everyone in DE can and wants to chat about DE on TalkDE. I have probably, no exaggeration, 15 or 20 couples on the site that login from the same PC almost daily. I have a few members who's kids have names on the site as well, and probably 5 sets of roommates or co-workers that share a PC.

I run what I think to be a essential mod called call the AE Detector. It tracks users cookie to make sure they aren't making new names from the same machine to thwart circumventing bans or cheating in contest, etc. GREAT mod, i suggest everyone user. One feature is to let you know who is who, if someone trips the detector it make a thread in a specified section (mine is a subforum of the admin area) in order to make it easy for me on TalkDE, the matches that are "OK" i sticky.

just some advice, and a question, how many multi users you got and how do you handle them (if you handle them at all)

Re: Multi-user household

I think that it is a great Mod and very helpful. We don't seem to have many multi-user households on TalkPa.

lol true, we have a few alter ego's though, when people get heated they go to great length to get their point across and sometimes talk to themselves....

That's a good question too, do your friends family participate....

My wife posts on TalkDE ALOT. She really like it, or rather, has grown to like it

I'm trying to get her into the admin role on the Philly Sports forum, she knows more about philly sports then most anyone i know...

my mom and sister also post on TalkDE quite a bit.

My sister is a member on TalkPa. None of my other family members have really taken an interest.

I also think that's a great mod
We don't have anyone like this on this forum, but I think I might on the ks forum if it takes off.
