Need some advice

I've got few things I would like to ask you guys about my webmaster forum. Be honest and open.

I would like to know what you think of my forum setup and organization? Any sections I can add/remove? What can I do to improve the forum?

And please all suggestions and feedback are welcome. Here's the link... web-talks!

Thanks!

Re: Need some advice

I think it looks good the way it is Garala. The only thing that I would do is maybe move the site promotion into the section with Running a website, blog, and forum.

Re: Need some advice

skins is good

anime girl is hot, bit i dont understand what she is doing on a webmaster forum

welcome header is custom but doesnt catch the eye and repetition of said hot anime girl is not....right

you have a pm waiting mod for registration doesnt suit a webmaster forum IMO, we know those tricks , if a admin wants to sign up he will.

top navbar is just a tad plain

stock favicon...

stock subforum markers could go...

lounge category should be just above site news at bottom IMO

other then that, looks good i think

Re: Need some advice

I think your tagline "the friendly webmaster forum" is hard to read because the font is a little thin (or maybe the color depth is too low?). Try making the phrase as wide as "web talks".

I don't think there's enough of a difference between your new posts icon and the no new posts icon; maybe add some color to the on state?

Thanks for your feedback guys.

what do you guys think of the forum organization and sections. Are there too many? Too less? Any section I should add/move/remove?

Usually when I used to review forums over at TAZ things we would look at with sections on the forums where to see if they where active. Being that most of your sections are active I'd say they are fine.

Re: Need some advice

I really like the look of the site and the way its layed out. The only think bothering me is you can not see the latest threads posted in the forums. I think that is something might want to change because you want people to be able to see some of the contact to draw them in and click on the post or something. But it is really nice.
