Would you go into a member's PMs if you thought they were about to hurt themselves or others?

Re: Under what circumstances would you read a member's private messages? probably not i have had suicidal people on one forum i run, he was actually a very troubled man, i even got a call from the police dept where he lives about his posts... most people like that wouldn't talk in PM's they would talk in public. I suppose if there was ever any crisis with them I could ask the other members if they have contact information for them, but it would depend on the situation and how urgent it is. Quote |
