Updating an older Style for 3.8

Been a while since I have posted.

Back in 2006 I created my forum and after many hous of searching for the right style, I finally came across one.

Since then i have wanted to update my very heavily modified forum, however the orginal creators of my style has disappeared and have actually changed software.

I have the original zip file from the 3.6 version.

I realize I can simply load up a test version of 3.8, load the style and fix the "errors" that it tells me to fix, but in reality does that really work?

How much would it cost to have a person with more patience than me to do this or recreate it in a 2.8 style?

I really love the style and can't bear to part with it and i need to start considering an upgrade for my site.

thoughts?

Depending on the changes needed in the style, it's possible it may be simpler than you think. Is it a free style that you can upload somewhere (even here) for us to take a look at?

It may also already be updated. A lot of time style creators update their files. Also, it could be a matter of just upgrading the board to the newest version and fixing the templates. I am sure it will be missing some of the images that have been added, but you can easily figure out which ones through the process of elimination.
