Re: Use google to find .edu backlinks

ok worked it out cheers

i found a wiki page that was talking about stoves but it wasnt a edu it was a .com and it had the words "wood burning stove" in one of the sentences so i edited it so the word "wood burning stove" was turned into a link to my site.

Is that how im supposed to do it? the page has a PR of 6

Definately not! But if they don't edit it back to the way they had it, then good for you.

Better way to have done it was to use proper WIKI linking protocols. You should use double [[ ]] for external links.

Also, the safer way to do it is to include them at the bottom of the page, under "External Links" section.

EDIT:

I didn't find anything for mine. I did goto The wikipedia... and placed my link at the very bottom. Let's see how long it stays there. :RGVLINK:

Re: Use google to find .edu backlinks

Technically, that's the wrong way to do it. You're supposed to put it at the very bottom, under external links. All other links in the entry are internal.

I put mine at the bottom. [[link]] (rgvforums)
