I don't think a shoutbox belongs on VB setup. It wouldn't really be used much I think... except for random 's' or chit chat.

I think this forum is mainly for help and discussion on vbulletin, which would be best kept in the forum

I also think that shoutbox won't fit in this forum.

I second, shoutbox not required

I personally like shoutboxes and a very good one is the 2.1 version AJAX. It is supposed to have no known security flaws.

I find shoutboxes make the page slower to load.

Do shoutboxes actually have so much significance on performance? I mean, it's not that complex of a script or process...

yes, I always try and hide them to guest, but they will suck up your resources
