I could be wrong, but when you sucker people into reading an ad, I think you mislead your "buddies" on your mailing list.

It's not like you've committed monster fraud or anything. I just have to say that I was let down a little bit when I read your email and then saw what the link actually went to.

I'm not super active on this site (mainly because I'm decently pleased with vBulletin and am focusing on other facets of my site/forum), but I consider you to be a colleague...a peer. Of course, if you took the time to specialize in X and create X product, that makes me a prime time customer.

I think if you lose the peer / colleague relationship, you end up being more like an informercial or something. (Of course, infomercials do make kajillions of dollars)

Of course, what do I know? I'm just giving my constructive criticism. I've been fighting javascript all morning so I may just be in a bad mood.

Brandon
I agree I'm a bit upset having my time waisted.

Re: Looking for some feedback on this page

First i like to say , from what i can see your email was a success from the site's and admin point.

It got 2 members to post that had not posted before so as a admin i see that as positive and that is our aim to get members to post and became active in the site.
Every one reads things differently and expect different things. We are vbulletin customers and "MEMBERS" of vbulletin forums.

If iam not mistaken the email asks for feedback on the page not what the page contains. Some thing i didnt
see (i hate it when i ask something to my members and they answer and bring up everything else but what i have
asked)

Even if its a ad, to brum up work ,for some of us its a good thing " we are not all experts in the field"
and we need help.

NOW bact to what this thread is about.
Yes i do think a page like this is needed
for all of us poor souls that need help.

The page looks to me out of balance i dont like the right hand side, it looks like right in the middle
something is being plonk there because you didnt know where to put it. Maybe in a separate colume
on the right ?.
The other thing i find is that the left side colume stands out more then what you are offering in the middle
which is the most important.
And yes maybe a small image of the site the feed back come from,
to break away from just all that writing.

sassy.. I think it is very clean and crisp looking. Feedback IS important. How one gains it. is up to the member that signs up

You say your and adim. SO WHAT!! Your point is worthless from my point of view.

If a fourm has value information why not respond. It is FREE for members at the cost of the Admin.

Most forums are a free-bee's for members at the cost of the Admin.

sassy..Maybe you are running one of those free-bee forums

Correct. A site without members is nothing.

No one's point of view is worthless not even yours.

Correct again. But when a forum gets too large and
cant keep up with the amount of members its getting,
the cost can be very high and at that point it
dose need financial help to keep it going.

But to tell you the truth i cant get what you
are trying to say .
