| Please stop sending me newsletters Hi,
I have all the options related to email marked as Unchecked, so I'm not supposed to receive any information from either Administrators or Members. Can you please explain to me why do I receive those newsletters, even if I specifically requested not to? It must be an option that I probably missed in User CP... From time to time, the administrators may want to send you email notices.
If you do not want to receive these notices, disable this option.
Receive Email from Administrators - unchecked
You can allow other members to send you email messages.
Receive Email from Other Members - unchecked
If by any chance I did not miss that specific option, please stop sending me newsletters.
Regards,
Floren Munteanu
PS. Your WYSIWYG editor is not working, when I try to post a message with custom text.

| Re: Please stop sending me newsletters Hi Teck,
I had to reinstall the newsletter, so everyone was "subscribed" again.
You can remove yourself from the subscription on the newsletter page.
I'm always amazed at these post over an email
*testing the wysiwyg... works fine* |

| Re: Please stop sending me newsletters That would work too. I do apologize to those who had unsubscribed before, but the GAZ script had been messed up from day one and it just took me this long to get around to fixing it. |

My settings in User CP are not to receive any type of emails. Yet, I continue receiving your newsletters. Beside the fact that you alter the vBulletin software to send me emails without my consent (it is considered spam), you also send private information over the Internet related to my person (nickname, login info, last visit, etc.).
Please stop broadcasting ASAP my information, as well sending me newsletters.
If you do not desist, I will open a ticket at vBulletin site.
Regards,

Regards, | You can click the link at the bottom of the newsletter if you wish to be removed. This was already stated in this thread.
You can also find an "un-subscribe" dropdown on the newsletter page.
And I'm not sure what your going on about, but I haven't altered vBulletin unless you call adding public mods "altering"...
ps.. I just checked your usercp, and you do in fact have settings checked that you will recieve emails. (excluding the newsletter option)
I suggest you take another look at your usercp, I apologized for the re-apply of the newsletter subscription, but you have other settings checked as well.
regards
-Brandon

| Re: Please stop sending me newsletters What are you using for the newsletters?
The geek gazette has an option for mailing everyone or only those that are currently receiving admin emails.
Not sure which way it defaults, but the site i have it on is sending HTML email newsletters to around 260 of 434 members.
I agree it's not good to email people that don't want the emails.
My inactive members product misfired (admin config error...) and started mailing 4 times a night!
Wow did that cause a ruckus. :gday:

-Raymond | I'm not sure, I just removed the old GAZ and installed it again so I could get the modules to show like they should.
Everything else was set to default. |
