Crap... I really should create some banners, huh? :p

Anyway, I think you made the right choice with smaller sigs.

I use big ones on my sites, but one site is flash and drivel and fun and the other is Photography so I wanted a little more room for showing off.

I may turn on that once per page thing though...

Oh look! Shiny...

Re: Should we allow images in Sig's ?

Personally I do not see the big advantage in having the sigs being showed only once per post, since you still have to load the same pic and it would not matter wether it showed up 1 or 10 times.

You can of course correct me if I am wrong, tough i believe i aint.

What I did was limiting the pics to a certian file-size, a specific allowed max image size and ofc a certain file-type.

In my opinion this makes the whole thing more handy, dynamic and whats most important: colourful!. :1O_o:

if you show an image once, it will load faster then showing 10 times ;)
get on dial up, and you'll understand.

We have some limit right now, but I visit several sites that are more strict. When our site gets bigger and 500 ppl are viewing threads at once, I'll restrict the limits more

Re: Should we allow images in Sig's ?

You should definitely allow it, however, I would advise that you install a div box hack in order to control the sig sizes. Good height is 190 pixels for a sig and basically anything within that 190 pixels is visible and otherwise cut off as it goes below the div box dimensions. Pretty handy to control sig sizes and prevent oversized sigs

So I say yes, go ahead and allow it, because I've got some banners for my site and series, etc. Would be nice if I could post them.

PS - Let me know if you need a link to the div box hack.
