| Vbulletin setup slow Has anyone else noticed that it takes awhile for this site to load up. It started sometime last night. But, whenever I try to browse to this site, it takes much longer than it used to before it loads. I was just curious if anyone else has noticed that. |

| Re: Vbulletin setup slow Well, I guess because of my connection speed I didn't notice it till it was really slowing down. But, I have noticed a huge drop off in speed. |

| Re: Vbulletin setup slow I noticed it yesterday and reboot the apache, but it's because the forum was getting attacked.
All day yesterday the site had 500 bots hitting the register.php page
It seems to have died down today
It also seems our search engine traffic went up considerably yesterday, and it's looking good today as well.
ps.. I rebooted the server again, let me know if it's lagging still.

| Re: Vbulletin setup slow We went from 2k visits a day, to 32k..lol
Someone must have a lot of time on their hands
I had contacted the host a few times yesterday, and everything looked good on their end, so I didn't really worry about it. |

| Re: Vbulletin setup slow lol @ Chase!
It's a bit faster now, but I'm still waiting 5-8 seconds for a page to load. Yesterday the wait was as much as 15 seconds. |

| Re: Vbulletin setup slow Something I thought of, it might be that "top stats" box above the forums, it can be disabled per the user. That might help on the forumhome page. |

| Re: Vbulletin setup slow It could of been from woopra as well, I had enabled it the other day when the forum was getting nailed with spam bots, so I could see what pages they were hitting.
I've disabled it again. |

| Re: Vbulletin setup slow vBulletinsetup was slow for me from the start, but only the default tyle (nicest one). While the header is loaded, the rest comes seconds later.
Also, sometimes the ads are running mad. Than they reload and reload and dont stop till I go to another page.

| Re: Vbulletin setup slow I guess, I just have good internet speed, because it's working like it used to for me. Everything loads fast and is running smooth. So, I dont know, but the other day I got timeout errors. So, it seems fixed on my end. What browsers are you all using? Have you configured them for your internet speed? I know a lot of people never do that and it causes slow page loads, just a guess. |

| Re: Vbulletin setup slow I've removed the header banner, the banner in the side column, and the 729x90 banner that was showing to members.
How is it for everyone now? |

| Re: Vbulletin setup slow You should need to be doing random apache and server reboots.
What does your apache error log say? It's possible that you are hitting a resource limit that needs to be increased.

I've removed a few mods that we weren't really using.
I'll check out the apache logs as soon as I can get to it, the baby is keeping us pretty busy |
