Would you like to post articles on our home page blog?

I was talking with Rocket about the new botm badge to match the new style and we started talking about blogs for some reason.
I said that I wasn't near active on the vBulletinSetup one as I should, then it hit me.

we should offer articles written by the members here to be on the front page

I've seen several great articles spring up lately that it would be an honor if they would have been posted on the blog. The only downfall is the only registered members on the blog, are mostly spammers.. We might have 1% actual members, but most of the time, it's spam bots.. So I have the comments shut down. We could just link to the article that is posted in the forum, or do something like Earners Forums down, where Lee will just post a thread with the article title, but a link to the blog post saying something like "Discusses this article"
I don't know, it's something to think about. I'm down for allowing some of the members to submit their own articles with up to 3 links added.. either in text or at the end.. like

What do you mean ?
They can be posted on your forums or blogs as well, but I would like them to be unique written by you or by who ever you might pay to have articles written. Oh, and I would like the articles to be helpful for webmastes, in otherwords, I don't think we would want an article about cars on that blog.

Hmm I would be very interested in this.....Specially if you would allow a back link :P.Maybe like writing an article on something usefull to all webmaster and then signing it...Webmaster of..and a link to your site

yup, exactly.

If it was a webmaster related article, I wouldn't have any problem with having three links in text pointing to your site or if you wanted, different parts of our site

You all should have your own panel where you can make a post. That post will then go into moderation and I should get an email. I see a test post in moderation but I didn't get the email.. Maybe I have to add it somewhere..

Still looking for more that would like the exposure

Oh, did I forget to mention, the blog is a pr5 and several post have PR as well

Yeah it looks really nice...Im going to play with it

....I will prolly be launching a new site soon..So I will be sure to make couple posts...though I was wondering if there was anything specific you would like addressed..I mean I been playing webmaster for the last 10 years for alot of sites so I have tons of info I dont mind sharing....Plus THANK GOD lol I have break in college....I have to keep my mind busy now with something I enjoy

I guess anything seo related, how to get better rankings, how to get traffic and activity. Pretty much anything that would involve marketing yourself and your forums/websites..

I'll look over yours asap, I briefly scanned over it and it looked good

I'm only going to do one post a day for now, unless we get enough for two a day

So, I just made a post, one of these will go up tomorrow.

The feed is on my profile at DP with 4,000 post

I've enabled the comments without logging in. I'll add the top commenters hack that will give you a link on all blog pages
