Question Adding a link to the index page

Hi, I have yet another question that I'm hoping someone can help me with. We have the vBadvanced portal page on our board and I'd like to find a way to add a link to the index page that users can click on to take them to the portal page.

For example, our index page link is

http://www.fresh-hope.com/forums/index.php
and I would like to add a link to that page that would take people to this portal page:
http://www.fresh-hope.com/

I'm thinking that the two possible places that I can see anyway would be
1. up at the top where it says:

Fresh-Hope Forums
have it say instead:

Fresh-Hope Portal > Fresh-Hope Forums

so that when people were inside a forum, say the Anything Goes forum, up at the top it would say:

Fresh-Hope Portal > Fresh-Hope Forums > General Fellowship
Anything Goes

See what I mean? But how would I do that?

2. The only other place I could think of would be if it could be added to the Quick Links.

Re: Adding a link to the index page

oh wow! Ok... I'll try, but that's going to take a lot of studying and work since I don't have a clue how to do any of that. But like the saying goes, the longest or hardest journey begins with the first step...so I guess I'll take the first step and at least read it and see if I can make any sense of that LOL Thanks guys. I will give it a try. It might take me awhile, but sooner or later I'll figure it out. I'll come back if I get too stuck though.

Re: Adding a link to the index page

in your navbar template
you can get to it in your admincp (the link in the footer to your admin contorl panel)
You'll than look for the styles and languages tab on the left
open that up, go to styles manager
than you'll see your styles on the right hand side
Click the <<>> to open the list of templates up, scroll down to the navagational breadcrumbs, click it
you'll than see the navbar template

Re: Adding a link to the index page

Thanks Brandon. I'm afraid I've come down with some kind of virus and haven't been feeling very well. I'm going to wait until I feel better to attempt this as I want to have all my wits about me when I do it. I really appreciate your help though and will let you know as soon as I've made my attempt.

Re: Adding a link to the index page

I chickened out and had a friend do it for me this time... it just seemed a bit more then I'm ready to bite off and chew yet. Thank you though for explaining how to do it. I've saved that page and intend to study it until I DO feel comfortable enough to start doing stuff like that.
