adding the www.

I recently changed servers and now for some reason when I go to Photochopz.com - Photoshop forum and contests it redirects me to site/forum without the www. in front of it.
I'm trying to conserve pagerank and dont want a bunch of different versions of home pages.

This was working fine until the server move, I have not changed any settings at all.

Any ideas on what could be causing this or how to fix it?

if you click this link:
Photochopz.com - Photoshop forum and contests
it should take you to the forum but somehow the www. gets removed. it makes no sense.

Add this into the .htaccess

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^yoursite.com
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.yoursite.com/$1 [L,R=301]

Ya, I tried that a few minutes ago and it didn't do anything at all.
I'll try again though.

Re: adding the www.

weird stuff, seems somewhere you have a redirect (kinda), I just hope it isn't a server wide rule in the apache config imposed by owner

Re: adding the www.

I called the server tech support and they said there was a rule missing in the apache something or other. They fixed it.

Thanks for the help guys.

ok, now that the actual problem is solved, I still want everything to be redirected to the www part even if they dont type it in.

I just added that code to the htaccess but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. When I type in my domain without the www's in front it doesn't automaticly put them in, it does nothing.

Yeps.
notworking still.

Photoshop Forum with Photoshop Contests and Tutorials
should automaticly put the www's infront now but it doesn't.
