Advice on my new skin

Hello,

I'm currently in the devlopment of creating a new skin for my forum. I'm looking to gain some feedback and overall impressions so I can tweak my skin to perfection

I've attached two screenshots; one which is displayed to guests, the other to members.

honestly both attached images are too small to give you proper feedback.. I am unable to read text + appropriately check colors been used.

I think its bit too plane for the music forum. Its a subject where you can make a nice skin which can tell about the forum topic w/o even looking at anything else except the skin

Thanks for your advice guys. I think as Brandon suggested i'll try using the new header with the old look and tweak.

Also i'll use sagar's idea

I like the over all muted nature of the color. It's soft on the eyes. However, I would ask that you add some color highlights. Maybe a darker shade of blue to focus the eyes to the important sections, e.g. the forum headings.

Over all... good stuff!

I like it, but would perhaps think about making your logo slightly bigger, and perhaps a little brighter. Personally when I first visited the site my eyes went straight to the Join and description graphics- which is good, don't get me wrong! but would prefer to see the logo first
