News letter help?

Hi,
I've been searching for something to help me format a news letter so I can send something more then just plain text.

I searched this forum and found a few threads about this topic and it looks like you guys use a product from the geek that isn't being sold any longer. There also seems to be something called a commbull but I was unable to access their website.

If anyone knows where I can find a good plug in or product or any tips or tricks on how to format at good looking news letter with pictures and formated text. Please let me know.

Please dont post in this thread if you are going to:
A. tell me to make a new thread.
B. tell me to check the other threads that I've already posted in.
C. give me some weird 2 word response that does nothing to get me closer to finding something to help with my news letter.

Thanks!

No, I just simply thought that if you started a "new" thread that it would get noticed faster than just adding to an old thread.

Sorry for all the trouble..

Re: News Letter?!?!

We are using GAZ as stated in the last thread, by The vB Geek
I've seen others talk about other newsletter script, if you search "newsletter" I'm sure you'll find a few threads

cheers

Re: Starting a newsletter

Great thanks Brandon.

ok. So where are we at with this so far?
Let see...

1. We've established that this forum uses GAZ by the geek.

2. We've learned a valuable lesson about starting new threads and how a new one isn't much more use then an old one especially when they all get merged together anyway.

We're making great progress so far!

I think the next logical step for this thread would be to find another alternative to GAZ since it is no longer being sold.

This thread has a lot of potential, I'm very proud of the progress it has made so far and hope that one day it will actually be able to deliver some kind of useful help for people trying to send out a formated news letter.

There are times for commenting on older threads and times for locking threads and starting on new ones.
Since there were 3 newsletter threads all on the same page, I just merged them.
I know there are still a few more in the forums, if I get time I'll search for them and merge with this one as well.
I know others have used a 3rd party newsletter hack, maybe called "collumnbull". For some reason that word comes to mind.

cheers

ps.. I've merged most the other threads.
here is the alternative
Any Newsletters out there?
and here is our official thread
http://forum.vbulletinsetup.com/f4/k...ters-2674.html
hope this helps you.

cheers

3 great quotes all from one great thread! We are definitly moving in the right direction here.

Its not that I want this thread to be successful just for me because I really dont see that happening in my lifetime. Its the children I'm mostly concerned with. I really think that if we all work together the legacy that this thread leaves behind will give them the clues they need to find a solution to the news letter issue that has plagued mankind for so long.

Re: Any Newsletters out there?

I want to chip in on this. I use phplist for another website, and it works great. But I honestly don't see how it can work with VBulletin. I mean, how does one get the subscribers details into phplist automatically? I just don't see how it can work as an automated addon for VBulletin
