I've been asking about this on the Living Avatars forum with no results yet I'd like to restrict use of the Living Avatars mod to certain usergroups, but since there's no built-in way to do that I tried surrounding the code in the user cp with a conditional. Problem is, you don't actually see the Living Avatars code in the template; I'm guessing it's inserted via a plug-in when the page is loaded. Any ideas how I can restrict its use?

best bet would probably be to ask in the release thread if you haven't already. it's a cool mod and i thought about using it before but i think my users would prefer to use the (often) strange avatars they chose...lol

search it on vbulletin.org. i think gaia online or w/e that huge forum is originated it. someone made it into a hack for vB. its like a points system hooked into your avatar abilities and you can buy clothes and stuff for a character you chose as a avatar....

Searching through the Living Avatars thread turned up a new tutorial about embedding the Living Avatars controls in a blank vB page using an iframe, and I think I can use that to allow by usergroup
