| Code monkey designed article bot and I have been planning to add it here, just haven't had time..
I'd recommend using it on your site for the google alerts that you want |

| It is a script that allows you to add rss feeds in a controled manner to your forum, as a thread or in the same thread as new post. You can set time interval, coding, etc pro feed. |

| This may be pushing it, is there a way we can up load information to a folder and have this bot or a norther bot read the file and post a response on the site using the information from the folder? |

| I don't think it can since it reads data in a specific format...and to what purpose would you use it this way? Post via this some pre defined articles ??? |

| I read about bots that can post as members. they read and learn from the people that post. I have a few how to and care manuals that i want it to read and gather all its information. Now when you post on the site, you will have Mr. know it all given you real feed back real fast. |

| articlebot from CM can post in the name of any member... but it is just a script converting an rss feed into a thread or post into vbulletin. It doesn't read files like you describe. What you describe s according me just ' a little more complex'. Not sure I ever crossed such a script for VB but... I'll let others awnser for me since I'm not an expert. I love vb and use it but... not to the point of a few others here |

| There's also another program called article bot - articlebot - Home
It's meant to create articles from reading other articles/changing words etc to make unique ones. It also is meant to be able to post on forums e.g.: Quote: |
ConversationBot - ConversationBot creates message forums full of robots that post whatever you want them to post. You define the users, avatars, message greetings, message endings, signatures, user locations, topics, time between messages, and the messages themselves. ConversationBot posts, replies to posts, and interacts with itself and humans who visit your message forum. You can use ConversationBot in conjunction with ArticleBot, Webspinner, or any other content creation tool - heck, you can even use your own "real" content.
| I've never used it, nor am I promoting it, but I have thought about using it. |

| I had ArticleBot on my site and it worked pretty well. But the most recent VB 3.6x has a built RSS feed. So, if you have that, you really don't need AB... do you??

I would follow the forum however and I know some guys were successful with it.
I tried WebSpinner at one point and was more impressed with the interface -- webspinnerpro com but for both products the price is a bit of a barrier..
