Better PM management

How do you search PM's?

You can only put inbox PM's in a folder not sent ones?

If anyone knows of a better PM management system hack thingo please let me know!

You can try vBulletin 3.6 Add-ons - vBulletin.org Forum for a list of PM mods. There is a User PM Search mod there.

I love that PM search mod :P I get sooooo many PM's it's crazy. Right now I'm sitting on around 3000...about to search for a few PM's, save them to a different folder and then wipe my inbox clean

I don't think so. You can try the link I provided and look in the list. A quick look showed no results; but going into each mod may reveal it as a minor feature.

Nah, I dont think you can, very odd, why in the deep blue sky would some-one build a system like that?

Every email program has folders, sent or recieved doesn't matter.

I figured out a way around it. Your sent PM's can be forwarded to yourself, then they become inbox PM's and you can put them in a folder, so from now on make sure all the pm's you are sending have you on the list too and delete the original!

That's weird...I thought that the default settings was to save all your sent pm's to a folder? Or am I not catching what you are saying? I used Cyb Pm mod so that I can make it to where it doesn't save sent PM's, I'd rather not have sent PM's.

That's a good way to do it. Well to ensure that the PM goes into the right folder you need to make sure that every user has that folder; like creating a global folder of some sort (like Inbox, Sent Items, etc.)

Then, you would have to edit the PHP code so that it would go to the global folder instead of the Sent Items folder.

I moved this out of the suggestion forum, since it wasn't a suggestion ;)
