I've been trying to figure out why my Ice Cream Forum won't let any new people register, and wanted to create a new user to test things but my forum won't let me log out! When I click the Log Out button I get the page saying I'm logged out, but then I go to register a new user and it says I'm still logged in. I've tried clearing the cookies a few times, but that hasn't helped. Searching Google and vb brings up plenty of topics about not being able to log in, but I haven't seen anyone complaining about not being able to log out. Any ideas?

it's generally a cookie setting of you have the wrong url in the general settings under vbotions.. make sure you don't have a tailing slash / ;)

My cookie settings are / for path to save cookies, and blank for cookie domain

clearing your cookies to your site i would think would definetly make you logged out, that is crazy.

No offense taken, the stupid random question is what started this mess I'll try setting it to recaptcha so you can create an account (would have sooner but I was trying to see what was wrong with the human verification) or I'll send you a login if you think you need admin access to diagnose the problem Brandon.
This isn't the first time I've had weird problems with that forum that seemed to be cookie related... for a while it would not load any links created from variables on the forumhome if I was logged on. (That one resolved itself after several weeks though.) Thanks for looking into it for me.

After deleting my cookies like 10 times and rebooting I was finally able to log out, and when I registered a test account I discovered recaptcha wasn't working either.. Switched to image verification while I figure out why the other two methods aren't working...
