Change "New Post" Option To Last Longer?

Right now on my site after about 15 mins if you click New Post, anything over 15 mins old does not show. Is there a way to change this to show anything posted in the last hour or two? This would help people keep up with post that is going on and whatnot on a young growing site

Re: Change "New Post" Option To Last Longer?

I think that this setting is vBulletin Options -> Cookies and HTTP Header Options -> Session Timeout

However...you may also want to consider changing the way that new posts are marked as read. By default, they are marked just as you have them now - If you don't visit the forums within x minutes, all posts are marked as read...but most users are going to find that annoying (myself included). The way I have it set up, and the way that it's set up here at vBS is that all posts are marked as unread until you actually...read....them or until 10 days have passed. The reason this isn't the default behavior is because it's a little more intensive on the server, but I've never had a problem with this while running forums with 25+ members logged in at a time.

If you want to set it up like that, Go to vBulletin Options -> General Settings and set "Thread/Forum Read Marking Type" to Database (automatic forum marking)
