Checking for open tag

I want to prevent admins from leaving a parenthesis tag open when they write a conditional in a single-line text box. The reason is because they can prematurely close the statement and create their own which would potentially hack the database.

To give more control over the conditional I like to allow parenthesis but as I said I want to check if any are open.
