Re: Classifieds for 3.7

I read a thread on the support forum there that the owner made. It's about the lack of support latley on the project and some personal stuff. If you have access to the "Site Updates For Customers " board in the "vBClassified Customer Area " category you'll see the thread. I have a license in which never used.

I'm not going to post anything on this forum about the thread since the message was for customers. Please don't ask me.

Just ask questions in the board for pre-sales questions.

Re: Classifieds for 3.7

I've possibly jumped the gun a little in my earlier post.

Those of you that are aware of the vBClassifieds or may be using it will know that Quarterbore has given his most in the support and development of this script in the past. We've been a little spoilt because of this, and consequently worried when things slowed down because of personal reasons. I'm happy to say that the script hasn't died.

I have used photopost in the past and prefer just to set up the classifieds as part of the board these days using WTS WTB WTT etc.

Snakeair, that's good to know. Personal stuff happens to all of us now and then.. hopefully things will settle down in his life soon. I'm just relieved to hear he hasn't given up on the product since I really like the way it integrates.

Trumpetmaster, I'm still working on learning the lingo for vB boards so please pardon my ignorance but what does "WTS WTB WTT etc" stand for please?

Greek76, cool! Hope you and your members like it as much as my members and I do.

FWIW... It's been installed on my board now for 2 weeks and I'm very happy with it so far! The developer has been great about helping when needed as well.

Most of the members are enjoying it and although it's Summer and normally pretty slow we have 68 listings from 5 members so far but with a few others planning on listing and buying. Now I just need to find the time to do so myself.

Re: Classifieds for 3.7

There's vBClassified.com, the author just came out with a new version last week and promises to work on the script more. Unfortunately I can't tell you how well the new version works with vb3.7 as I didn't download the update right away and when I went to download it last night discovered my year of updates had just run out on August 3rd. Not sure I'll pay the $25 to renew as I've already spent too much on my forums this month

Gimme a link once you get it set up, I'm interested in buying either this one, or the other one made by the PhotoPost guys.
