Cookies

How many cookies does vBulletin set on login? I have vBulletin, vBSEO, Google Adsense, and Google Analytics. I have a new member who restricts new cookies and has to allow each cookie. They are complaining that they have allowed more than 8 and they still can not login.

Re: Cookies

I wouldn't have thought it was anywhere near to 8. I think Google ads have 2 and your forum generates 2, one for the domain and one for the www. domain. I'm not sure though, that was just a quick 'clear the cookies and log in again' test.

Re: Cookies

Yeah, I think 8 cookies is a bit much. How are they blocking them and enabling them? Maybe it's something to do with what they are using.

Re: Cookies

You can set IE to prompt you when a cookie is being stored and you need to allow it before it will continue.

I think it's a little over protective myself, paranoia at it's worst. Every site sets cookies, that's the way things are now.
