| Custom vB Pages I'm in need of a way to make my own vB pages that will use the footer and header of vB, but will also be listed in the WOL and allow the vB search to find stuff on these pages..
I'm not asking for the world, just 90% of it :p |

| Re: Custom vB Pages oh, didn't see that part of your question..
I'm sure they could be made to be searched.. You could use the zoints thread tagging system and tag the articles. |

| Re: Custom vB Pages yup, it is a great mod you can make the pages in development, and have only admins can see them, then when your ready you can set the permissions for the public.
There are different layouts you can use, different variables you can put in.. I whole bunch up nice stuff.. I have a few pages that I've been working on off and on, that are using this web-templates hack |

| Re: Custom vB Pages your welcome, if your really worried, you can use vba,, it will be around..
here are some examples of custom pages Natural Stone Restoration Alliance Natural Stone Restoration Alliance
I would think vbseo could clean up the url's.. and vba will be around for a while
I think the web-template mod will be too, just wanted to let u see the alternative |

I've used vba before and I'm just not a fan of it anymore, I think the webtemplates does a good job with the SEO of the urls see this one : www. thecrowforum.com/tcf-original-movie-information.htm
Only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't get the end of the URL like I wanted.. (/) insted of the (.htm)
But I'd imagen a bit more playing around with it and I could get it to end URL's like that, but I just don't have the time right now, trying to get all the info on the site is stressfull! lol (Back to working on it now) |
