Database error in confirmation email

Database error in confirmation email

Anyone have an idea why I would be getting a database error when clicking on the confirmation link sent to me in email? I just wanted to test it out and I did and I got this. I dont know how long this has been going on. As of right now I removed the option to confirm email address until I get this fixed.

Never mind I found the problem. It was the hack automactically add friend that was causing the msql errors. Most of the time I usually read deep into the threads to see if their are any issues and of course their was with the email activaction lol...

glad you got it sorted, errors always scared me too, i would post the error and someone would come along with a answer and after a few times i noticed that you just have to read to narrow down the error like "mysql server has gone away" may have been the mysql server just got disconnected for a sec, no need to panic. this one "version for the right syntax to use near ' 2, 'buddy', 'yes')' at line 1" probably could guess there that something was awry in that mod, or the dB table was not writeable.

I'd often get errors like that from my own mysql projects if I missed an apostrophe somewhere or got the data in the wrong order; hard to tell with someone else's mod.

My first hunch was the last hack that I installed and thankfully I was correct.
