I know its in there somewhere...but ...WHERE?

When a new user joins, he/she gets placed in a specified usergroup. WHERE can I change that to put new users in a specified usergroup..

I know where I can changes them...just cannot find this..

The default user group is Registered Users, so set permissions accordingly for that usergroup.

From there you can setup promotions to move people to other usergroups as nessecary.

Keep in mind, if you have email confirmation turned on, new members will be placed in 'awaiting confirmation' until they confirm their email address.
