Is there a way of deleting a user account if that user has never posted?
For example, I created another user so that I could check if the conformation e-mail worked. Now I would like to delete that account.

If I were to ban that account I would end up in big trouble as I would also ban myself and get locked out of my own forum! (My created user and I have the same IP address!)

So I don’t want to ban, I want to be able to delete.

go to user management, the dropdown has a "delete" option

It really just messes things up. Posts become different looking, it just makes it seem so sloppy, showthread, forumdisplay, etc. then if a user has like 500+ posts its going to be in all of those. I just do not do it.

Pruning and deleting accounts is two different things. Pruning normally means you delete members with 0 posts. Not a fully active member that requested it.

True, well we delete users with the spam button all the time too

i dont delete spammers, just move the post to a hidden section and ban them

i will prune users after maybe a year.
