Display latest blog post in postbit using Magpie RSS

This mod will allow forum members to add their blog's RSS feed URLs to their profile and have the forum display a link to their latest blog post next to their username every time they post in the forum.

I'm trying to set this up, but I'm not sure if it's working

do you setup the magpie just by uploading the 4 inc files, a cache folder and the extib folder inside a magpie folder and that's it ?

Point the path and change the field number?

I believe that's what you do, although whenever I tried to use that mod it didn't work for me.

Is this the same type of mod that is used over at digital point?

It's a neat mod but probably not necessary on most boards. Really just gives members a method of getting links to their site 'out there'. Which isn't a bad thing I suppose lol.

It does not seem to be working for me.

I tried both a blogspot.com RSS (atom technically) and a vBulletin external.php link.

It's nice for a few reasons IMO. It is a nice link that is has rotating achor text, and it's also a nice way to know what the users are up to. If they are posting their personal blog link, you'll see something about them they maybe they wouldn't just post out on the forums.

I just want to get a simple wordpress.com/feed/ link to work, or a feed burner.
I was never able to get my vb rss to work over at DP, maybe if you used feedburner. I'm pretty sure the blogspot one should of worked.. hmm
