Do you place Ad's on your forums ?

Just wonder how many ppl have advertisment like Google or Yahoo ad's on their site ?

You guys can see we use google ad's and sometimes trade or sell banner spots.

Do you show ad's ? and do you show more to guest then loged in users ?

I use Google ads for now, only one option is to subscribe (paid) to be promoted to a usergroup without ads. In the past tried bnners via several affiliate programs but they never worked for me, best till now is Google

My primary forum right now has private sponsors, companies that specifically target DJs.

When we first started, I ran adsense. My newest forum (only 3 members) has adsense for now. Once I get to promoting it, I may take on advertisers or do commission junction.

i have adsense for content and referrals. its working good i think

Talk Delaware is your #1 online source for information and news concerning Delaware.

in the header above shoutbox on forumhome

on the forumhome side column referrals

and in the showthread at the bottom

everyone see them, but i may take them off for supporters.

i have made $25 in 1 month, first month the forum has been open. is that good? or?

cool affliate section
and 25 for your first month is good im my books.

I've never had much luck with referrals, I've only ran them a few times tho.. I should add one or two here somewhere.

Re: Do you place Ad's on your forums ?

yup and most of my forums crowd are local/older/non-techy types. Never heard of FF. so i added the referral, and i made a thread "What browser do you use" most all use IE, so i just said HONESTLY the advantages of FF and if they wanted to try it the link is HERE, they try it, its legal for me to do that i believe in the adsense TOS, and i make a few bux

and i got my first donations the other day too $25 BUX! i couldn't believe it. so yeah im very happy with my first ever forum i have owned myself

anyone know, can i have other ads campaign on the same page as google if i wanted? what are some other good oneS?
