Does it matter what folder your vbulletin is located on the FTP?

On my FTP, my forum is listed under

/public_html/Luigi/forum

Does this make any difference? I'm trying to figure out how to fix that so that it reads:

/public_html/mysite/forum

But I'm not sure if it's worth the effort, especially since I don't understand how to get it changed without getting a 404 error.

The above means your site would accessible at the following URL:

example.com/Luigi/forum

While in the second case it would on the following URL

example.com/mysite/forum

My url is currently saying

www.mysite.com/forum/index.php

So I'm not sure if that's right, or do you mean differently?

Does your host offers multiple site hosting on the same CPanel account and that too without WHM?

The only thing you can change is the "forum" part. For all intends and purposes, that is fine.

I don't know what WHM stands for, but my hosts allows me to have multiple domains with one cpanel (I think).

If it doesn't matter in terms of site function then I won't bother renaming the folder file. I only wanted to rename it for organizational purposes within the FTP so that an outside person could quickly find where things are instead of clicking on my username to find where the forum was installed.

Web Host Manager, is a sever control panel by cPanel.

I'd keep it in the forums/ folder, then if you ever want to put a blog, cms or something in the root, you'll have that option.
