how can I let the guys on my site edit there own post for a short amount of time. I only want them to have like and hour after making a post.

Vbulletin Options -->> Message posting and editing options -->> Time Limit on Editing of Posts

you can find that in :

Usergroups -->> Usergroup Manager -->> Registered Users -->> Post / Thread Permissions -->> Can Edit Own Posts (Set to yes)

It should..
Double check all the usergroups for that user are set, and that the time is set correctly. You have to set this in minutes too, ours here is like 4 weeks, so it's like 43,000 minutes.
