errors all evening


my forum has been having database errors all night,

Database error in vBulletin 3.6.8:

Not sure, the only thing I can think of is the query took too long and timed out? That's why it couldn't be completed? And it looks like you were doing a cron job? Reading MySQL AB :: MySQL 5.0 Reference Manual :: B.1.2.8 MySQL server has gone away may help with the error message you got: "Lost connection to MySQL server during query".

It appears as if your host is having trouble with the mysql service or the server is over loaded. There's nothing you can do about it accept complain to tech support.

Yeah, that's what I think. You should contact tech support because it seems you are losing the connection to your MySQL server.

in admin from vb you can see server load, if it is way over 1 for long periods then it is overloaded and your db requests end nowhere. Mysql reboots all the time to prevent server overload as a possible measure... else master pasword for mysql went wacko ... server admin has to reset it
