Hello,

Recently, I changed servers and when I moved, I started getting these errors. Here are two I have got from posting and going on a profile. I don't know what the issue is:

Going on one members profile (other profiles worked):

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in [path]/public_html/includes/class_bbcode.php on line 897

One member posting:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 13893632) (tried to allocate 77824 bytes) in [path]/public_html/global.php(400) : eval()'d code on line 108

I do not know what the error is. I have asked my host and they replied:

You will see this error any time php tries to use more than it's memory
limit. This limit had been at 32 megs and we have already raised it to 64
megs. How much memory do you expect any single instance to be using?

Any help would be appreciated.

Upgrade to PHP5 and your memory limit goes to 128MB, I think, well it does on mine, or put a php.ini on your webspace, with the limit set as high as you want, always worked for me.

Check which mods are installed, and can affect showthread, also, it could be a graphic heavy style.

I think its a modification because my style isn't graphic heavy. This only started when I transferred servers.

You really shouldn't need more then 64megs hahaha Even the most intense programs shouldn't need more then this!

I have a lot of heavy server intense programs on my server and thats as high as I have mine.

You should really post over at vb.com and see if eva2000 can help you with a server optimization. Mention that you have been having this problem when posting the thread. Read the posting rules on what they need and post everything and then have Liquid change them up for you. I did that and my server runs smooth.

Also adding something like xCache and memcache to the server should help it out a lot. Liquid will be able to help you with this also.
