vBulletin Options - User Registration Options - Default Registration Options - Automatic Thread Subscription Mode - Choose the one you like

Not sure what can be done about the existing users.

Heh, thanks a bunch dude... Didn't see that one
But how about automatically subscribing all the users to all the forums, without them replying or posting?

Re: Force Forum/Thread Subscription?

I think that is something only vBulletin support can answer and would either require a hack or a sql query to be executed.

Hope you do realize that it would annoy members if they get email replies to each and every thread/post.

Yeah, i do realize that... and it's not for me, it's for a client. That has a forum with users used to using Yahoo! Groups.

And they were used to get a lot of mails?

Any ways, i'll look into the SQL queries... and maybe make a cronjob?

When you first installed the board, it should have defaults to having E-Mail subscriptions, so as long as your users don't touch it, they should stay subscribed.
