Forum Section Set up

Hi everyone!

I am new here and new at using vbulletin. I just created my first forum and its still in a really really rough draft stage but I have a question. How do you split the forum into separate section? Right now everthing is jumbled together. I want to group specific sub forums together. Below is the link to the site. Thanks!

Welcome to VBS. Seems like you figured out your problem.

If you don't plan on implimenting ads, I'd go with a bigger banner.

Re: Forum Section Set up

Hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcome I am really working on it but I just didn't realize it would take me so long. Now that I am really into it things are moving along. I am not sure about ads yet. Do you all suggest I do ads and if so how do I do that?

Re: Forum Section Set up

well, Adding ad's is totally up to you. It might be better to get the site up and going, get some active members on it, and then place a few ads to guest only "like what we do here".

If I where you, I would work on the content, then work on the style

Re: Forum Section Set up

Thanks everyone for your help. I am still working hard to get everything working right. I have a friend of mine working on the content so thats a plus. So now I can really focus on the style. I have a question about spacing. How do I get spacing between the forum sections? My other question is how do I get the nice rounded edges on the forum. I really like that look. Thanks!

Re: Forum Section Set up

What do you mean by "spacing" ?

as far as rounding the corners, that's all CSS I think.

I'm not really a graphics person

Re: Forum Section Set up

On your main page you have it sectioned off where its Vbulletin Set up and then you have another section with that same Category Title but there is a little space in between. I was trying to figure out how to create that small space. I think it looks neater. What do you think?

Re: Forum Section Set up

oh, I know what your talking about.

try setting those main sections as "not to act as a forum"

I'm heading out the door right now, if you can't find it, reply and I'll get the exact menu when I get back.

cheers
