Hey guys,

I wanna install this hack on my forum called vS-Interactive Profiles, i downloaded it and viewed the installation instructions and it tell me i need to make a file change in the member.php file. Now i've never done a file change before so how do i go about doing it?

Editing a file is the same as a template. Do you have an ftp client ? Open up the member.php file and do control f to fine the line of code. If you aren't able to figure it out, shoot me a pm and ill give you a hand.

I'm using smartFTP, when i right click member.php froums root folder it opens in Notepad, but it looks completly messed up, what program should i use to edit the file?

Word pad is the program you want to use. When install vbulletin, it said notepad adds spaces that you don't want.

Don't forget to backup the original file first, that way in case you screw up, you can always load the backup and start again.

ALWAYS make a backup.

And SmartFTP is a great client and its Freeware.

Open the file, find what it says, replace it and then upload again.
