Hi ArnyVee, my board is mostly folks over forty and ATM mostly female and they seem to prefer the G ones with some leaning into PG.. I think the worst we have is a smilie flipping off.

Oh dear... is it the smilie page only or the whole site? If only smilies perhaps it went into smilie overload? It's the main reason I have the drop down category mod but it's only avail to members when they use the advanced post/reply and click on "More". I'm on poky dial-up and would never be able to use smilies without that.

My DD uses this link for smilies if she's not in a thread. Perhaps it will work better for you.

Could it be your version (if not overload)? What version are you using? A mod and I just pulled up the smilie page link in IE and it was okay but I'm lost if it's none of the above. Any ideas at all?

I tried it with IE 7 and FF and it didn't act up but maybe it's a setting or something we have different?

BTW (OT), is it part of vBSEO to change a link into a phrase automatically? I was being lazy and just plopped the link in and it changed it to the phrase... very cool.

Yes, my understanding is that it is a vBSEO 'thing'.

But, there is a hack for those that do not have vBSEO (like myself).

I'll try and find the link to it if you'd like it.

Yep, that's a good mod.

I have about 400 installed smilies, all categorized.
Also, I am using the MySmilies hack that allows users to upload their own as well.

Holy cow!! 1300???!!!

I have about 200 and my users love them so I add a few more here and there from time to time. No categories, I just heap them in one.

Baldy, that hack sounds interesting but I'm almost afraid of the idea of turning my members loose with it. ;-)

Androo, yeah, LoL... I did mention we and our members like smilies didn't I? It's a bit much but the cat mod makes it easier to deal with and I'm thinking the Fav Smilie mod might be handy as well.

What I'd really love to see is a mod that will rank smilies according to use so we'd know which one's aren't being used at all or very rarely. It would make weeding them so much easier.
