Hack to limit number of times a signature appears in the thread


Is there any hack which would limit the number of times signature is displayed in a thread i.e. if a member has multiple replies his signature is only displayed couple of times.

No, their is not a way. If anything you would need to mod the postbit or postbit_legacy for your needs.

Are you sure about that? Because one of the forum I participate in has something similar installed, not sure if its hack or they have edited the postbits.

We use to have this hack installed

it only shows the sig once per page.

Will install the hack you mentioned, because I really don't want to depend on manual template hacks. BTW any problems with getting it to work with 3.6.8?

Well it's not used here anymore but says it works for 3.6.x. However since it was released in January (before 3.6.8) it is not guaranteed it will work. You can try it out on a test installation first.
