Well I am with a team that programs and runs stuff etcetc, we've switched from SMF to vB and I am trying to install a skin which i got and when I install the XML file it has all these x's on it etc. Btw I am co-admin and I don't actually host the site, my friends does. Do I need any requirements or anything? I have full access to admin panel.

You need to upload the images via FTP.

You'll need FTP access for this, and most the time you just drop the images folder from the skin, right into the images folder in your forums.

Whats a good FTP program? Free One.

Also, so I need FTP access and I just replace the icons etc with the ones I have? Thanks in advance.

I use WinSCP good and free.

And yes if you want the icons for that parrticular them you'll need to upload the images to the correct directory.

If you want to use default vBulletin icons (will look ugly) you just have to edit the StyleVars

AdminCP -> Style and Templates -> Style Manager -> StyleVars (from dropdown)

Just edit the paths for the buttons and the such to point to the default vBulletin ones

There are alot of things I have to import, how do I know which is which and what is what?

depending on wat version your using you will have to use that xml file

there can be 2 files of that version fixed/fluid , use one of them
